About the Best of Salem County 2022

Each year the Salem County Chamber of Commerce holds an event called “The Best of Salem County”. This year 2022 the contest has an all-star lineup of local Salem County, New Jersey businesses that are trying to win you vote.

According to their website they have almost 400 businesses with a membership. These businesses range from the larger corporations like PSE&G to the smaller local shops we all love.

Let’s see what this contest is all about.

2022 Salem County Contest

The Salem County Chamber of Commerce does the contest online through SurveyMoney, a digital survey and polling company. There are two pages with 146 questions in all. You do not have to answer or vote in each business category for your vote to count.

Contest Categories

The contest has several business categories with more niche specific sub-categories for you to pick your favorite in Salem County, New Jersey.

Local Favorites & Past Winners

In the agriculture category, you will find DanLynn Organic Farms in Pedricktown, Oldmans Twp. They are a past “Best of Salem County” 2019 winner and are an organic locally grown produce farm. You will also find the 4th generation farmers at Triple C Angus, owned by the Coles family in Pilesgrove.

If you are on Instagram you will see some of the great products by Frog Ocean Honey. Located in Lower Alloway’s Creek Township, NJ – Frog Ocean Honey is a small, family owned business that provides 100% pure local honey and hand made natural beeswax products. Give them your vote and try out their products. You can find their products at other local markets, like Costello’s Garden Center in Deepwater.

Costello’s not only has the garden center but Joe & Gail Costello, also run Costello’s Custom Landscapes and have won the award of best Home and Garden in 2019 and in 2021.

Home & Garden Category Section

Speaking of home and garden, some of the contest participants include some familiar names you may see or know. Like Wysocki Electric, Tom is a friend of Salem County Home and if you are looking for a Generac Back-up generator for your home or any other electrical needs, his company should be your first call. You can find them at the Construction & Trades – Best Electrician in Salem County, question #54 on the survey.

In our own best of articles “Best Siding Contractor” we have the candidate Elevated Remodeling. Brandon DiBartolo and his team of home improvement professionals offer Roofing, Siding, Windows, and Solar. You can vote for them on survey question number 53.

Over the years you could drive through Salem County without seeing Campbell Mechanical they have served homeowners and businesses alike in the area for years. They were the Best Plumbing/HVAC Service in 2019 and they would like your vote in 2022. They are at survey #58.

With so many categories and great local businesses to choose from it can be difficult. But cast your votes to help the business you favor.

Event Place and Date

The Best of Salem County, event will take place at the Salem County Fairgrounds, May 5th, at 5:30 pm. The winners will be picked and small businesses all over Salem County will be able to say, “Best of 2022”.
